I cry. A lot. Commercials featuring puppies and horses? Tears. The National Anthem at literally *any* sporting event? Forget about it. Videos of cats doing… whatever? Yes, even then. I don’t know why.
And when Dumbledore fell from the astronomy tower? I’m still not over it. Needless to say, if you give me a good book and make me cry tears of joy or pain or laughter, I’m yours.
When I’m not tearing up, I keep busy working for Dreamspinner Press and Sourcebooks, Inc. and I try to make sure my kids don’t eat cereal for dinner every night. But mostly, I write.
Three Truths and a Lie:
- I once almost died from eating a mint.
- I played rugby in college.
- I am a Master level black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
- I am related to the founding father of Quebec.
Some of my favorite things are thunderstorms, my family, GRRM, jeans and a sweatshirt, YA, cherry pie, em dashes—yes, em dashes—Amy Farrah Fowler and Norwegian Elkhounds. That list, by the way, is in no particular order because obviously I love my family more than thunderstorms. It is also constantly in flux. Although, again, not the family part. They’re always on there.
